The week after Goodwood is usually one of the dullest of the summer. Two weeks now to the Geoffrey Freer meeting.

That makes a change, often Racing UK has all the racing.

Not losing much, but I'm consistently losing a few quid with each market.

I think it's time to take a break, head down to the pub garden and enjoy the the sunshine. :D

Thunderstorms tomorrow!

It's hard to balance the times you've closed trade and watched how much money you could have made get bigger and bigger, with the times you close trade before the price reversed and headed towards a big would-be loss!

Sometimes though - those drifters that you close out 'early' on with a reasonable profit only to see the drift continue big time - end up being withdrawn anyway.

Betdaq has been down since before the first race today, guessing many use for backup if Betfair hits the wall and have positions open. Pretty certain Matchbook/Smarkets would show no prices whatsoever if Betfair went down now

It's back now, but the markets are empty. But that in itself is an opportunity.

That's when you realise why it was drifting!
