I have always enjoyed seeing Tom's PnL's. If anything they are inspirational.
And I know he's put a lot of hard work into achieving where he is today.
Keep up the GOOD work and keep posting those amazing returns.

I'd understand if it was someone newish but he's been betting on dogs for decades.

Don't see a need to fill a full page with how much money you've made.
Well, just because you don't see it doesn't mean the need isn't there :)

This was maybe before my time as well but if my forum lore is correct he was caught posting practice mode winnings so I imagine he's had a point to prove ever since. Which is nonsense obviously, if you aren't selling anything you don't have to prove anything to anyone but good luck telling your hurt ego that! :D

Funny enough no matter how many screenshots he seems to post Emmson remains unconvinced and has clearly still not forgiven him :D Ironically, I remember someone objecting to Emmson spamming his own P&Ls as well in the cricket thread for different reasons, just goes to show you can't please everyone so you just have to please yourself.

It's obviously all harmless anyway, don't want get all philosophical as most people need a bit of validation, and in different ways. I always liked to see screens that showcase a specific opportunity instead, but at least newbies that are interested in the market have a bit of a reference point.

Yeah, the ego is a tricky subject and you've seen how quickly can things turn petty in the locked thread when people push the right buttons.

But ego is not necessarily a bad thing, while any success is relative and individual and personal. So if someone is super happy about his winnings whatever they may be I have no real problem with that, perhaps they've had to overcome far more than it's apparent.

Personally, I feel any P&L is a good advert for the software/forum/trading.

P&L's obviously can be a sore subject especially when they can be manipulated. I've got no issue in the main with people posting P&L's even more so if it's a new trader who's been grafting for a while and turned over a profit or someone who's been working on automation with forum assistance and had some success as a couple of examples.

That'd be a a much better advert for the software/forum/trading than just posting a page of P&L's so possibly a bit of context to the P&L would of been better.

I just think posting your own P&L is never a good idea :)

But others posting theirs is always a good idea and more people should do it :D 👍

And I'm the only one that told you at the time that you overshared.

You've given someone who didn't know what a wicket is (like me) an in to your market.

I think the fact that trading is full of charlatans makes it only natural that most of us will be slightly suspicious when people post up no context pnl's. Tom's been posting his dog pnl's for ages, the amounts are realistic and he's doing the wise thing of not posting the individual amounts in case people get an angle as to what he's doing. I'd be very surprised if his results aren't genuine tbh.

Be nice if he posted a 3 month pnl and maybe explained why he's now only doing the dogs as he seemed to be winning on all the other markets he played before so why drop them? But at the end of the day it's better he posts them for us all than not. We need some people to show regular profits are out there to entice in others.

I've posted a handful but as many were big losers as winners as an example of reality.

I wasn't trying to whip up a debate here but lending some support to Tom's hard achievements. It certainly inspires me, and hope others to.

And I do think he is sincere with his exploits, I genuinely do ...

Have a nice weekend Angel's :)
