Early part of the afternoon looks a bit flat to me.

Looks a decent days racing quality wise throughout the day, from start to finish.Certainly better than a lot of Fridays

Gowran Park kicks off with a couple of interesting Maiden Hurdles, then a mix of very competitve handicaps, and two listed races.

Ascot starts with a decent 0-85 handicap ( lowest graded race on the card),then continues with a mix of class 2/3 races plus the listed Noel Murless stakes.
And the 2 jumps meetings at Fontwell and Hexham start with some decent competitve handicap hurdles among the early races. All races are class 3/4.and the class 2 handicap chase with only 5 runners looks ultra competitve ( price range 3.85 - 6.8 covering the 5 runners)

Only one class 5 on the whole afternoons card.and something for everyone

Sounds like you're trying to sell it but you've made it sound even worse

"Gowran park kicks off with a couple of interesting maiden hurdles" is when you know you're trying too hard

They might possibly be interesting from a punter's point of view, but traders won't get too excited about them. :)

Always had a soft spot for maiden/ juvenile hurdles, and NHunt flat races, as sometimes a real star crops up in the most unexpected places.
Remember being at Catterick for a poor card just before Cheltenham and a certain Collier Hill made his debut in the bumper ( last race in card ). He won ( think I got 6/1)

He went on to win over hurdles , but also won many fiat races including 3 group ones ( Hong Kong Vase, Canadian international etc), and over £2 million in prize money... can anyone think of a better flat performer that started out in bumpers ?

Many a Run of the mill irish bumper or novice has thrown up unexpected stars .. be optimistic and enjoy !!

I'm focusing on Ascot for some bigger trades and hoping to pick up bits from elsewhere.

Just minimal losses today, nothing really to my liking so far.

Ascot has been quite enjoyable, it's helped make up for the other junk today which I avoided 99% of

Gowran Park has been where I’ve had most success today.

Never really get involved at Dundal but Dubai Rainbow looks a massive steamer at 3.05.
