I agree with RegL laying in the aust market is a goer. Using the facts, good horse win, good jockeys win, the SP is usually a good guide to the chance of a horse winning, barrier is a factor sometimes and luck plays a part laying with a tight money managment plan appears to be working for me. I attempt to make 1.17% per day on my betting capital each and every day. This I have acheived by LAYING only and aiming for small amount each bet. I have failed in the uk but have broken even in USA. I only lay on good laying races say 1 out of 5 races. Rather boring BUT lovely counting the money.
I look forward to you telling us how much money you've made in 5 years time. I'm not sure what it is, but something tells me it won't be much.. Come on mate, think it through.

I can say categorically that back/lay trading Australian markets with good liquidity is very profitable. I have a near 95% success rate that I could never achieve with UK racing.
That is seriously impressive! I'm still stuck in small win small win small win big loss mode :(

Actually that was a bit of an (unintentional) exaggeration. It's 92.7% Randwick, 88.7% Rosehill, 86.2% Caulfield, 81.1% Flemington.

At the bottom of my list is Kyneton 9.9%, Sunshine Coast 26.4%, Murrey Bridge 31.1%.

I should add to that 45.4% Bendigo, but I think that might improve today if the first race is anything to go by - it looks more like Flemington. :D

In other words the larger the meeting the better you are doing? :)

Yes, it's mainly the stability the more liquid markets offer.

I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night.....

:D :D

Randwick's easy swinging for small stakes, Flemington's scalping well, if the first races are anything to go by.

Delay at Gawler and there is a lovely gap in the market on the favourite just sitting here putting liquidity on both sides :)
