It's time for a Great Britain team, like we'll have at the Olympics. If there had been a GB team playing Russia yesterday, we'd have had Gareth Bale up front. In the past we could have won something if the likes of Dalglish and Best and Giggs had been able to play in the big tournaments in a GB team.Euler wrote:So, it will be at least 60 years before we can enjoy a win in the first game at the Euro's, shocking really.

individual football associations would not allow it think of all the junkets they would be denied
I know Marseille well and it was a crazy decision to play a game like England vs Russia there with the potential trouble with both sets of fans along with the somewhat 'passionate' locals getting involvedDallas wrote:Its a shame the Welsh win has been over shadowed by the other turn of events in marseille

A GB team? Joke right?shakespeare wrote:It's time for a Great Britain team, like we'll have at the Olympics. If there had been a GB team playing Russia yesterday, we'd have had Gareth Bale up front. The reason why there is no GB team is when it comes to woy picking his team for the tournament. No scottish/NI/Welsh players will make the squad except Ramsey and Bale.
Look, Bales is a top quality player. But come on be realistic. Wales will struggle against England and Russia. They are a weak team +bale= average team.
They won yesterday on spirit and will get found out quickly when they meet a big team in the knockout stages. Any who truly believes that was a high standard game yesterday is disillusioned.
A GB team would horrify me. The only reason we play Olympics/tennis etc in a GB team is because the small countries cannot accommodate them.
For example can you imaging the Olympics in Cardiff? Edinburgh? They cant accommodate it. Football is easy. Rugby is easy.
Im not sure but I dont think Murray has won the welsh open yet? Thats definitely going to be a the next grand slam.
Wales/Scotland live under the shadow of England. If there was to ever be a successful welsh or scottish referendum there Rugby and football teams would digress.
Shame. England could do with a player like Bale to blame there failures on.

I watched your video on volume. What do you think is the reason behind such low money?

Is it just me or do Italy remind you of the old England.
Try as hard as you can to score in the first five minutes.
No control on the ball. Just boot the ball when under pressure.
The longer this game goes on Im thinking the more control and goals Belgium will have. lol

I can see Uefa's bluff being called on this. One of the Russian FA officials said the fighters were "Defending the honour of the motherland" basically condoning their actions.
If the fighters inside the stadium (I won't use the term fans) seemingly have the backing of their FA, there's nothing to stop them doing it again.
Add in the possible permutations if Russia make it out of the group, further games could be in line against Poland or Turkey, both of whom have followers capable of "Defending the honour of the motherland"
