Not for the first time, I've managed to profit from somebody on this forum not taken too seriously, just by having my attention drawn to markets I've never looked at before.

OP pmed me for some reason maybe thinking I was Turkish as well, as far as I could tell he is not at all familiar with the concept of trading, he thought this was a regular betting forum where he could post his tips. He asked if I knew of another forum where people would jump on his tips so I sent him over to OLBG.

If I was in Turkey and wanted to trade sports, I would probably aim to find my way out of Turkey & seek residency elsewhere. starting with the countries that border it. Bulgaria looks the most likely candidate or maybe Armenia. Is Greece totally off limits for Turks?

Brits take for granted the privileges they enjoy on the gambling front. There are some born sports traders out there in banned territories who'll never get the chance.

Perhaps people here are more choosey about what they invest in. If you want a betting partner you need to give more information about your tips. What price would you have taken? How many goals or minutes would you wait? Were you backing or laying? Give an idea of how much you could win with a £100 stake?

I can understand that last sentence. Generally though, this forum is superb at offering sound advice - to sound questions or inquiries. If the approach had been along "I'm looking at doing this and expecting these results," the result would likely have been different, even if the expected results gave hints of arrogance or lack of realistic thought.

There's certain triggers for a board of this nature. In this case 100% would be a trigger imho.

Saying 100% to anything involving a degree of randomness and the actions of human beings (or animals) instantly disqualifies as being of sound enough mind to be a succes at this sort of thing. Or to become so. Harsh maybe, but that's such a fundamental misunderstanding of something extremely basic in this "world".
