I have been poncing around with BA automation for a couple of years now, I love trying to get an automated idea to work...............its not the automation I have trouble with,,,,it is finding a profitable strategy that is hard !!!!!!! although a little 40p liabilty bot on the footy is doing alright today

The concept behind the above is very simple, the bot just places a back bet on under 2.5 and greens up for a small profit, currently 8p on 40p liab.............even if there is an early goal it can still come back to profit if there is not another goal soon after. I have interfered with it a bit today (hence P/L's dont reflect 8p and 40p). because original back bets were not being matched (I was probably asking too high price). I then tried offsetting with greening, instead of green up rule, placing pre-off with "keep"............that did not always work 'cause sometimes my bet was matched exactly at kick off, so the offset was not placed, or the original bet was not matched pre-off and it was taken inplay..............and with an early goal, my "keep" back bet of asking for 2.1 was soon gobbled up as the back price went to 4 after the goal, so I interefered !
I will be interested to know how your strategy gets on with the bot I posted, when I was testing it the only matches it was "green" on were half time 0-0, so I wondered if just backing 0-0 half time score would be easier! but I was testing it on any and every match I could find, and you have probably been more selective on your previous manual strategy testing.
I have just looked at my P/L again on the 40p bot, its down to £0.95, two consective losses of 40p did not help.........I think they were two matches that did not go inplay, something else to look into and iron out. Happy days though, betfair have just given me a free £5 bet for being a loyal loser, er, sorry I meant cusotmer!

Hi Jenno,
As you are aware the bot I posted earlier on this post sometimes misses out on "redding" up when a goal is scored in the first half, I have done a few alterations, mainly more triggers and a longer "window" for them to trigger in, the mk3 version is posted below. (mk 2 was scrapped! !!)
I have also done another one that uses a slightly different method to detect a goal has been scored and it seems to be more reliable than the previous two, and in testing seemed to work very well, try them and see how you get on.

In your lay the draw automation your have the times set at i think 01:43:00 or in the range. Is this because in automation the time includes the 15-20min half time break? I like the aution but i want LTD at 60mins and at 70mins
Do you or BetAngel recommend putting in the in play times at 01:00:00 - 1:03:00 and 01:10:00 - 01:13:00 to place the lay bet or should i ad the half time break time and go 01:15:00 - 01:13:00 etc. Then green up agter a goal is scored.
Im completely new to automation and ive got a LTD@60min 70min split stacks that has a 88% strike rate after 200 games most in i havent been able to trade on. Problem is living in australia is hard to bet at 10pm to 2am as that spleep time i actually satart my full time job a 3am so i need to get into automaion.
