I remember a few years back when there was big concerns over job losses & I'll recommend the same now as was recommended then. They should just learn to code.

TBH if it's true that the victims have been put on gardening leave for three months, I would take that. In the UK with "consultation" for 3 months, you have to work, constantly wondering whether you're for the chop, then looking around for other jobs. The redundancy process is miserable. I've witnessed nearly a dozen and getting zapped is 2nd only to seeing someone you respect, but under-valued by idiot managers being ejected. Musk may have blundered big-time here. Does anyone care anymore about Twitter - $44 billion!!!! I would hope he fails but that would result in people losing their jobs - DOH!!!

Musk is rather annoying and seems to have said some rather odd things lately, but I give him some due for his risk taking and aiming high for the future.. Since he's worth $200Bn, he can afford to blow a ton on Twitter, and I think he's got some interesting ideas.

I understand the sentiment with Musk. We're all dazzled by what he has achieved but I think this Twitter venture is doomed. It looks less less like dynamic investment, more like asset stripping.

One of my favourite stories of lay-offs is an east Asian electronics company. Fire alarms set off to get everyone outside, then if your badge still scans through the gates it's back to your desk...if not home you go with any personal items sent on.
