Why is betfair doing this, they shut themselves down and decline liquidity over time..

Croatian accounts to be closed next sounds like

Gotten a heads up about it last week and today received confirmation from my account manager that it's happening soon

Impacts a lot of active traders in neighbouring countries too since they pretty much moved to Croatia to keep their accounts active

I had information weeks ago that it would happen, I just didn't want to believe it.

Very sad, but we were ready for that .

Really feel for any pro traders out there who suffer from these closures. Does anyone know why Betfair are withdrawing from all these countries? It it legislative?

Apparently so, I imagine their hands are tied in many cases

I think pretty much everyone has to eventually deal with these things or similar, extra hoops to jump through is always fun times

But you have to give credit to BF and their managers, my general sense is they do want to keep their customers

So as of yesterday, game over for Hungary.

Accounts from Hungary get closed and no more access/ registration possible.

They suggested to withdraw remaining balances ASAP.

So who knows which country is next?

Slovakia + Croatia + Romania + Bulgaria remains from the Eastern Europe.

I am told Betfair have moved this to December, for existing accounts

New registrations may not be possible much earlier

May I kindly ask how to resolve this issue? I also live in a country from which Betfair does not accept players.
