The issue with London is that it's an absolute pain in the arse to get to. If you live somewhere with a train you can get there OK but otherwise from the north you're probably parking in Stratford, then the tube into town. Last time I drove the 360mile round trip (20 gallons), paid about 15 quid for the car park, 7 quid for a tube then has the pleasure of paying about a tenner for my driver legal softy drinks. All to be there about 3 hrs before schlepping back again.

Any chance of somewhere you can actually drive to that's central?

Somewhere around Nottingham/Leicester is the central point geographically, and is fairly easy to get to by road/rail from all directions

Easiest way to organise these things is with polls, day of the week, suggested regions, etc.
