Its not impossible on dogs, just more difficult than it use to be.
More free advice and will probably get slaughthered for giving it awa:
1. Goto a dog market on BF 10 mins before scheduled start.
2. You will notice the back and lay prices are shockingly poor value.
3. Start offering new back odds by laying at the current back price + 1 and new lay odds by backing at the current lay odds -1.
4. You will notice that other bots will then jump in front of you doing the same.
5. Cancel your offers, wait for the other bots to do the same.
6. Repeat from point 3 above until you get matched and then offer X amount of tickets offsets.
7. Regardless of P&L, greenup 30 seconds before the scheduled start time for that race.
8. Onto the next dog market and repeat the above.
The trick with the above is to work out whats value and whats not. No point in jumping in front of others if all the value has already gone etc.
You can automate it, just be careful to makesure there is a big enough gap between the back/lay prices. There normally is up until 1m30s before scheduled start but it can depend on the type/grade of race.
Use pennies to start with or minimum bet size for your country. Before long you will spot patterns and then be able to adjust your automation etc.
Have fun, dont get demoralized, its not rocket science!!!!
Its Impossible
I have been offsetting by only one tick on the simple trading bot I've been using, i have a stop less set as a hedge for a value of -£3, I'm only trading at £2 stakes. I have rule to green up for profit or loss at 10 seconds before the race.
Thank you for this, i will give it a go.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 1:06 pmIts not impossible on dogs, just more difficult than it use to be.

That explains why your reds are outweighing your greens. One tick makes a small fraction profit on your stake but your stoploss is 150% of your stake, so even if the price went wildly IN your favour you'd just pick up one tick, but your losses would be big.WigWamBam wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 2:12 pmI have been offsetting by only one tick on the simple trading bot I've been using, i have a stop less set as a hedge for a value of -£3, I'm only trading at £2 stakes. But Archery's given you some good advice so good luck giving it a go.

The method I gave can be applied to any market, not just dogs, especially in illiquid markets.
But I not going to write the rules for you so please stop PM me about.
There is no free lunch, you have to do some homework yourself.
But remember there are many others doing the same. That’s the bit you need to research and modify your own rules yourself as you go.
It’s worked for years but it might not work tomorrow or next week etc
Just adapt and overcome.
Thanks

I think Archie's a GOOD sport sharing his knowledge base. I remember when he first went public on this stratergy.
I just wished I had blackmailed him then, or offered gifts !!! A missed opportunity
