Thanks for spending the time to analyse. My rule executes once and triggers according to 1 market sv that may be set before or after closure. I think this will mean if the sv is set after closure (by another rule), this rule won't then run. I am at a loss to figure whether I can do anything about this because the rule that changes the sv is set in a completely different BAF.
Can you combine the rulefiles into one?

It's not something I want to do because the 2 files have specific purposes.
Dallas, can you shed any light on these findings. Do you think Guardian could be changed to make this work or offer a workaround perhaps?

The trouble is, you don't want Guardian to keep refreshing through closed markets ad infinitum because it will slow down the refresh cycle for live markets.

Another idea for you, it might work if you switch the rules around. It might cycle through both rules once - Automation Rules 1, then 2. So if the rule in column 1 relies on an SV from a rule in column 2 then it won't trigger, but if you switch the rules around it might work.

hi
if it is any help I just tried something :-

I applied a rules file to automation rules column 1, the file was to set a stored value of 0 after the market had closed, that worked.
I also applied a rules file to automation rules column 2, the file was to set a new stored value, ...... the sv from automation rules 1 (0), plus entered amount of 1, after the market had closed, this also worked :)

hope that helps
good luck.
