Black Caviar
Black Cavier so much over & above her competamparies its unbeleivable. The last race is case in pointe where she was no where but could accelerate at so much ease that you would think they were filming some hollywood movies or something.
But knowing that horse racing, or in fact any other sports/endevour invlvig animals then anything is possible and for that reason I might oppose her at 1.06?

Hi Blueport. No problems my end - both the API and web service have worked exceptionally well all week . Quite impressed given the volume. Looks like Black Caviar is Perth bound now. Maybe flying might be her achiles

I'm right on the other side of the planet and it seemed ok from here. Worth checking the communications settings tab and playing around with settings. I have different settings for AUS and the UK.blueport wrote:Did anyone in Oz have issues with response times late in the afternoon.
I've had the same settings for ages and never had a problem.
It was just late yesterday everything started to lag really badly. Tried restarting and both connection modes without improvement. I also did a ping test from my modem which appeared to be working ok.
Everything seems to be working ok this morning.

Hi. Her record now is 17 from 17 and this Sat she is going for 18 wins on the trot in the 7 furlongs CF ORR stakes at Caulfield (Where she is stabled and trained).
This is her first start over a distance which she has not yet contested and in my humble opinion, she will win by a margin of at least four lengths and just might break the track record, or go very close to it.
This horse is the greatest sprinter/miler in the world and certainly the greatest filly/mare to have raced in Australia ... and I am an enormous fan of Makybe Diva (she won three Melbourne Cups in succession).

Hi mbeebee. Not denying Black Caviar's record, for me it is very difficult to make a comparison of Makybe Diva and Black Caviar. One has excelled at the sprint and is currently unproven over a mile. The other earned fame predominately as a two miler yet was also able to win arguably the greatest of Australasian WFA races over 2040 metres at the Valley. I still get a shiver up the spine remembering Makybe Diva cruising up to the leaders seven deep on the home turn in the 2005 classic. In their own special way each have captured the attention of racegoers and non-racegoers alike. The making of comparisons adds to the intrigue, assisting in capturing the imaginations of the public at large, and this can only be a positive thing for racing in general. After all, here we are discussing Black Caviar's performances on a UK forum. I do hope however that we get to see Black Caviar go from strength to strength this preparation (if that is at all possible - scary as it is), take on the world and in doing so become the undisputed best ever.
