I was just sure I'd end up on the wrong side of this (as with every other time!) but for once was on the right side.

RESULT
Instead of giving me my greened up figure of 11p betfair have given me my original £20 stake
It could quite easily have gone the other way though and i could have been responsible for the liability i had. This was the Chester race

I ended up with +£374 but it could have been a nightmare had Haylaman won because my final lay bets totalled £400 at 6.4 and I would have been a different person had that happened.
As I said, first time it has ever gone my way

I got a near 300 bonus out of that when I thought I'd have a near 300 loss. I had a 1.5k liability on one selection. Laughable really.
Your more gracious than me Jim, I'm quite happy now! Next time as soon as I hear there are no pics Im hedging immediately and running for the hills

It went my way too but it's ridiculous that you can execute a nice risk free trade only for Betfair to open you up to a huge liability.
Not happy, although I'm off to London for a party on the Thames now so will drink the unexpected "bonus" in the sun
Hope the rest of the day goes well for you guys.

My understanding is if you stick a bet in on the opposing side of the book and then take sp, this should avoid you getting caught with a huge liability if this happens.
I always stick on in 15 ticks below (or above) my position and move it if the swing gets close.
