I follow the Telegraph finance section myself, and if there is a bias towards Ed Balls or Labour, I must have completely missed it. :)

IMHO, their commentators talk lots of sense.

BTW, did you see Peter Oborne on Newsnight this evening, calling an EU spokesman an idiot and handing a book called Guilty Men to the former editor of the Financial Times (who used to support the Euro project)?

It was out of order, but very funny!

Ed Balls gets a massive amount of media coverage while speaking utter tripe.

I'd thought that was a reference to the Telegraph, rather than the media generally. The only coverage he gets in the Telegraph is negative!

I don't get why people are still trying to prove he isn't a trader, it is as if they feel that if they can show he isn't it means his words are worthless. Still not seen any article arguing against what he said which was pretty much spot on imo.

When we trade Betfair we want others to lose money, not much difference. When someone sets up a business they want other people's money to make them richer - people just don't like the truth when it isn't all glossed up to make out that people/business etc are providing a service (obviously some people do it out of the goodness of their heart, like Mr Money bags giving us all a heap of money on Friday ;))

Probably for the same reason that people were dismissive of the claims of Adam and your good self, ie it's easier on the ego than accepting messages that they find threatening... :)
