Not looking at the markets but don't forget it is only 10.30am in Oz at the moment. Not sure if any of the other cards have started yet have they?

Inplay used to be dead and by all accounts still is.

If Andy's mate is making good money trading the midweek Oz markets I suspect he may be manipulating those markets.

I do ok on the more liquid meetings but struggle at the smaller venues.

I'm trying to pre trade the cup and after having early red I'm back to square. It's taking some time to get my trades filled.

The money in-play is generally not big but it may be affected even more by the extended picture delay in homes.

Is there such a thing as live shows for Aus racing and does anyone know a site that has the prices?

I can assure you he doesn't manipulate the markets. As I said £1,600 was at the upper end of what he makes from them. But he will usually make £500 or so from a Saturday, as ever sometimes it can be more like last Saturday, other weekends it can be worse.

Frank - they have a tote in Oz so the prices aren't like in the UK with a betting show as I understand it. They do have oncourse bookmakers like we have though but they don't give a show I don't believe.

Got a Twitter shout out on ATR oi oi ;)

I'm not in Austrailia, I had thought of doing that but Quantas would have stopped that chance anyhow so I am glad I didn't go the whole hog, else that would have been crushing.

I reckon you will suffer today from incresed interest. If more people are having a go and putting money in the market then that tends to slow down the fill rate and that creates its own problems. It worked OK last year but I have had bigger races in AUS.

I was referring to the midweek Oz meetings. They are so unpredictable it's not funny.

What do you mean by show?

Wednesdays or OK, Saturdays usually pretty good but the other days are hit or miss. Randwick should be ok today.

I'll be working on Randwick, Eagle Farm and Flemington. I doubt I will worry about the rest.

Why the poor fill rate? Is it mainly just traders money in BF Aus markets?

The markets feel really strange compared to UK and Eire.

It took me quite a time to adjust but the AUS markets are similar to how the UK markets used to act in 03/04.
