I was over there last week and prices seem to be very similar to when I did the deal and got it three years ago. There was never the massive bubble in Portugal that there was in Spain.

And yes it does give a good return at the moment.

If the currency really weakens that will provide a great opportunity to pay off the mortgage on it.

Hi Frank, the bubble in Portugal isn't as strong as in Spain (700k closed brand new homes!) but I think it exists, if you consider that the minimum wage is €450 and you can't get a three room apartment for that price.

@Lagos, if you come here in the summer please let me know and maybe we can grab a beer? I always take two weaks off in the summer near Lagos :)

We won't be going anywhere, that's for sure! You might know that we have the oldest stable borders in the world, so I can't think of another country that can give you a better guarantee of 'staying around' :lol:
