Best LIVE TV (smallest delay possible )
Does that help .. are they both the same speed ?
//
Some exhange shops now have 'fast pics' .. which, u can get at home, if u have space for a big dish, and want to pay.
The pics are mainly from ATR tracks, and a bit behind live, but, not much.
I imagine people are teamviewing racing, as it seems to be better than facetime .. but, am not involved.

Hi Guys,
I've read a post on the BF forum from a guy who says his Betfair live video has no delay whatsoever... apparently his software suspends at the exact second the race starts on live video. Is this possible, to have truly live pictures with no delay or is this guy just waffling?
If its true he must have a huge advantage with in-play trading.
I've also heard other people say the same thing and make the point its geographical.
Any thoughts?

I'm going to monitor it a bit more to see if I'm right, but I seem to have instances where the live-feed commentary (from Betfair) is actually ahead of the video.
For instance, there was a race yesterday, where the commentator said something like 'And Dobbin now moves a length ahead of Dolly Grey' and I thought, "Are we watching the same race, they're still together!" when, voila, Dobbin DID move a length ahead.
Its only a second or two - but as I say, I'm going to keep an eye on it. Of course, it could have been a glitch or too much beer! LOL

Thats what I thought, my BF live video is usually about 2-3 seconds behind the action.hgodden wrote:There will always be some sort of delay in getting the pics to your home however you do it I'd have thought?
Would be interesting to hear from anyone who's video is truly up to the second live IF there is such a thing. I'm a bit skeptical that this guy was telling the truth though... I think its the same for everyone. There must be some delay on all BF live video
I dont remember which race it was but yesterday there was one where the BF video announced they where off at the exact moment it was turned in-play, i assumed it was a delay with being turned in play rather than the pics for the race where in real time.
I normally switch market or video soon as am closed out and dont bother with the actual race but today will wait and watch for the actual off and when its turned in-play and see if this happens again.

Dallas have you ever heard of truly live video?
As far as im aware they dont exsist and should always be a delay of some sort, TV images need to be sent up and back from satellite since the digital switch over so will always be a delay with those, weather its ever possible to steam truly live via the internet i dont knowRonObvious wrote:Dallas have you ever heard of truly live video?

you can't assume that BF turn in-play at the actual off (variable like everything else).
my RUK subscription (via Sky) is slightly ahead (less than 0.5s) of BF video.
ATR is still garbage (delay and coverage).

Within a yr, pics from tracks will be disseminated by fibre, not satellite.
Might make a difference.

If the Betfair guy (who presses the "in-play" button) is also watching betfair video, then the two will be in sync so probably not a good measureDallas wrote:Well the first at Market Rasen turned in play at the precise moment the commentator on the BF video announced they where off
The race could still have gone off 0.5 sec before he sees it
