Just to add to mugs post; you also need to be logged in, in an API mode ie such as Mode 0 or 13 to use KeepSP

It doesn't matter whether you manually Take SP or use automation or Excel, the bet(s) only get settled if the event actually goes "In-play".

If Betfair crashes (for example) prior to going "in play" then SP bets are suspended along with all other bets, so they remain unsettled.

What BetFair need is a "settle my bets if BF crashes" marker :lol:

That isn't accurate James. On numerous occasions I have had bets reconciled at SP when the race has not gone in play or the site crashed and all markets suspended. They honour SP bets regardless. They grey area is when the race is late in play. It becomes a mess then.
