I'm very familiar with the legislation they are trying to pass and it's very messy. I also reckon that it will be restricted to US residents only so it won't be of any advantage to non US residents. It could actually end up being too restricitve.

what is the 15% consumption tax to be introduced in uk in Dec 2014?

The UK government is switching from a gross profits tax, which remote providers have been able to avoid, to a tax on profits based on the point off consumption. Basically there is no incentive to offshore your internet business.

Probably wasn't the greatest move of Betfair's moving offshore, they were a bit late to the party I would have thought for it to have been cost effective.

Sounds as though more bookmakers are pulling out of Greece in the coming days according to Jimmakos.

When it comes to Greece, I suspect the bookies know something that the politicians are trying to hide until the last possible moment. Expect Grexit soon.
