I'm finding the markets to be very acceptable this week.

Me and my big mouth. Only a couple of losses today but just couldn't get any decent upside.

What a contrast today is (Monday) to the weekend. I sometimes wonder whether they shouldn't just ditch Mondays & Tuesday and put some better quality in later in the week?

I did fine, but it was mainly down to one race.

I think the frustration I am showing is down to the fact that I just can't put enough money through these sorts of markets. After eleven years of being on Betfair I need the markets to grow and these types of market are not. It means I have to look elsewhere to deploy captial as its difficult for markets like these to make a material difference to things.

Since the introduction of cross matching small fields are not filling the same as before either. So the introduction of cross matching has reduced liquidty in effect. It's frustrating, I know nobody has a right to anything in a market but I wish Betfair did more with their prized asset of horse racing. I guess they are just interested in squeezing margin out of it more now.

Looks tricky again today, Only three races today out of 34 have 10 or more runners.

Even that small 3 runners field at Folkstone wasn't that tough with all these money around.

Don't worry, it's going to be tricky today, but with that liquidity it's a bit easier than month ago. I'm below b/e at the moment too.

Yesterday I found ok, slow but I had a nice steady day were as today I was £200 down after the first hour.

Doubt I'll pull it back. Markets still seem really tricky to me.

It's a shame I'm not getting to grips with these markets because some of the moves are massive!

Does a smaller field means that you're more likely to have a short-priced favorite, resulting in greater liquidity?
