I must admit I hadn't really thought about whether there is a value lay at points like this. But you would certainly think there is a good case for it.

Like with the guy who chucks huge amounts at the markets there has to be great value in opposing these moves/manipulation. For the straight backer/layer there are great opportunities, I am sure some of the big players have made fortunes out of these people. It is an approach I am looking into more and could help with reducing the Premium Charge along the way.

Newton (race 1) at 1 hour 20 min before the start and there is nearly $30,000 Aus dollars(whatever that is in pounds) sitting there at the front of the queue. Somebody is keen!!

At it again today - they were on Follow The Flag there but didn't need to use as bigger stakes as yesterday to hold it.

Out in force again today on multiple runners - they are making the horses they choose untradeable, at least for me anyway as there is no point joining the back of £20k

Yeah, I saw that - just flashing the money in and out of the market at the same price. He pushed the price of the fav out shortly before the off. Strange.

clearly just trying to annoy us traders now! I cant see any profitable reason for doing what I just saw, maybe more just to be a pest!

This thread contains a number of screenshots of betfair charts - some taken after the off (showing Betfair SP), and some taken before the off (Showing Projected Betfair SP).

Whilst most of the detail on the charts is self explanatory, I am having difficulty in understanding the significance of amounts contained in the Betfair SP Columns (both for pre-off and post off), and how (if at all) they relate to the comments being made in the relevant post?

Would be most grateful if someone could provide a simple guide to interpreting these amounts (and what they could/do mean), to help understand better the points being made in the posts where the charts are used.

Regards
Doug
