Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, the UK and the US, make up 7.5% of the global population (approx 569 million people).
As of the 26th April, six countries accounted for 155,457 out of 206,008 (75.5%) COVID-19 deaths.

It is possible that some deaths occurring during the reported period are still unaccounted for, and that deaths in other countries might rise. In addition, the definition of “COVID deaths” may be different from country to country and during the reporting period.

These six countries, however, have been disproportionately affected: their combined death rate is 27.3 per 100,000, which is 39 times higher than the rest of the world’s average of 0.7 per 100,000.
I said that I was staying out of this thread but the interest was too much after it had dissapeared for a few days. This could also be a contributor to those statistics.

It's quite sad to think less than 500 deaths in a day is good news.

Not itching to jump on it, but out of curiosity, there is one - to me - unclear point. Is he saying the 6-hour eating timeframe is advisable for everyone? Or just if you've lived unhealthy and you need to adjust your insulin?

tbh I don't know much about insulin resistance, but I believe most people would benefit from intermittent fasting. Inflammation causes disease and IF is proven to reduce inflammation.

Ok so you're being sarcastic? So many 'whatever', 'and like'. She's clearly an excellent reference, not. She doesn't even look healthy, even though she's been pursuing this strategy since 'like the summer'. Bloody Nora!!!!

The first person who discovered autophagy was Belgian biochemist Dr. Christian de Duve. For this discovery, he got the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1974. Years later Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi, a Japanese cell biologist, spent years studying how human cells get rid of their waste. It turned out that when you fast, your cells live longer and produce more energy! On Dec. 10, 2016. Ohsumi was awarded the Nobel prize for elucidating "autophagy," an intracellular process that degrades and recycles proteins.

I've already had one short conversation about Rhonda Patrick, and I really don't have an opinion on her one way or another. I do feel you're being harsh judging on the usage of specific words. As for looking healthy, I disagree. She looks to me just as what I suspect she is, ie. someone who lives a healthy lifestyle with the big minus that she works way too many hours.

Elon Musk is in the elite of smarts and arguably the most innovative person alive. When he was on the same podcast w Joe Rogan, "like" and similar words was flying around all the time iirc*. My take is when an expert is used to talking to peers with the same knowledge or speaking in front of people with an interest in the specific area and as such a base understanding, and he/she is then cast into a medium where they know, they're speaking to a very broad audience, there's time and again a moment, where they have stop in their (speaking) tracks, even if for a splitsecond more than they normally would, and consider how the dumb it down for the rest of us dummies and a "like" pops out. I see a fair few experts be less articulate on that podcast than elsewhere.

* Before he started smoking weed

From the Telegraph:
Government claims to have supplied more than one billion items of PPE have been called into question after it emerged that officials had counted 547 million individual gloves rather than 273.5 million pairs.

Just got my seeds from B&Q. :D

Can't believe the precautions they take. They make you place your trolley at the checkout and retire to stand on a yellow square, before the checkout staff scans the goods.

This is a good summary: -

I feel much smarter after reading that!

Its amazing how much easier you can soak up information when it isn't being shouted through a TV at you.
