Couple of questions if anybody can answer:

1. Why would BF turn off x-matching?
2. Is there an indicator on BF website or BA Software to stae if x-matching is in operation or not?
X-matching doesn't guarantee the book won't blip over 100. In larger fields the algorithm simply can't look for all the reasons the book has gone over.

Ps. I don't x-matching.

Betfair don't give any indication of when cross matching is on or off.

Why do they turn it off then is a good question.

I dont know if it was related but a couple of times today i noticed on the ausy racing that the market suspended and immediately after reopening it felt a little different.

Would they turn it off completely for a race or just turn it of as and when they please?

Either ATR are now 20 seconds behind live or betfair turned the 3.05 in play somewhat early then

I believe it is turned off when a runner becomes a non-runner but is left in the market. So happens a lot in-play, and stops the x-matcher having liabilities based on the non-runner.

It makes them serious money. They only turn it off when they have to.

Bold runner last race. Touched 1000 by the look of things a couple of times and bounced right back in. Peter le will be jumping off his deck chair.

Fantastic day for swing trades and they have been relatively easy to spot.

I was just looking at the API-NG documentation and it looks like they do now provide a flag which says whether cross-matching is on or off: MarketBook.crossMatching - boolean. I guess might be something to include with the BetAngel that eventually uses API-NG?

Is there any ETA on the new BetAngel for API-NG given the current API will be turned off in Nov? I'm happy to do some beta testing if you need people.

We don't feel API-NG is ready enough at the moment. The DEV edition has elements of NG in it, but that is enough to know it's not ready.

We will introduce it when we are happy that it's worth doing so for our users.

Sounds good, I am very interested in having something that tells me if it is on or off.

Great to have flat racing back, lots of volatility in-play
