I am a United fan and I think Barcelona are worthy favourites however that counts for nothing come kickoff on Saturday night.
Only yesterday we saw a 1.01 shot get turned over at Roland Garros so the odds count for nothing - let's see what happens when they step over the white line on Saturday.
Barcelona have the potential to be the greatest club side we have seen but they have only won a single Champions League thus far and have some way to go to match previous great European sides. Not saying they won't do it but they haven't done it yet and anything can happen in 90 minutes.
Champions league
I agree. I think it may come down to who plays with more passion on the night, rather than footballing ability.
And let's not forget that, although United haven't had a great season by their standards, they have plenty of world class players themselves. People talk about Messi being the greatest player in the world, but that's possibly because he scores so many goals. As Rooney showed a couple of seasons ago, if you play him as the main striker, he can also score for fun. And I think that United have an extremely powerful attacking force in Rooney and Hernandez - Rooney sets the goals up, and like a young Michael Owen, you can rely on Hernandez to put them away...

Will this be the first time either club have played at the 'New' Wembley ? Might make for an interesting game to Trade with ManU curently showing 2.80. Great odds for a 2 horse race if both unknown at the venue .

Not quite, this will be Man Utd's 10th appearance at the New Wembleyrubysglory wrote:Will this be the first time either club have played at the 'New' Wembley ?
However, they have only won 5 of the previous 9, and 3 of them were on penalties, so their record at Wembley isn't too hot

Thanks for putting me straight LT. I obviously missed the other 9
I don't get to see many european soccer games as you might have guessed but I try to keep up with scores and results. Been along term Chelsea fan myself but that's another story - next year maybe, as always !

Mourinho knew it too but, he got knocked out in 2009, lost 1-0 because inter milan played 60-70 minutes in 10 men in 2010, and got knocked out in 2011 again...
fergie knows but, he can`t stop it...I still hope it will be a fair game....

True, but I think people are underestimating Man U.
We've just come top of the toughest league in the world, and our players are on fire.
And whilst Barcelona have Messi, we also have plenty of world class players (and when he's in the zone, Rooney is as good as any player in the world).

I agree with you that people underestimate Man utd..but, the premier league is defenetaly NOT the thoughest league in the world....
I disagree.
Our league is the wealthiest in the world, which means we can afford the world's best players.

The prem is the best league in the world and also the toughest. Without a shadow of a doubt.

Depends what people mean by toughest
if were talking strength and depth and quality of teams throughout the table, then it's the Premier league by an absolute mile.
It no coincidence there are consistently more english teams in the latter stages of the champions league than any other league.
