Well done with your results, especially with the value approach.

The greyhound market (around 2 million a day) has held up well (for volume) when compared to horse racing (declining) albeit around 7 million a day. Reckon there will still be niche greyhound tracks that continue to exist around the UK. A world pool, accessing the australian/US market would ideally ensure its survival.

Re-Horse Racing, In my view, there is still a future in trading/betting, at least for the next 20 years or so. By then, I reckon access, UK to US markets and vice-versa, will have bedded in, along with other countries pitching in. The Tote world pools could expand, and the tote as an entity, will likely grow, which will be good for horse race funding and its' future going forward.

The black market has soaked up much of the horse race volumes and the bigger bettors, that also like betting on other sports ie: football/cricket...etc,
Any idea where do I get US or Aus horse race data for cheaper or free even. Thanks for insight
Sorry, unsure with that one.
How would one access such black markets?

Here's an old racing post article that covers the overall subject.

Ah, having read that article seems really theyre a scam. But gamblers gets drawn in.

That said, around the covid period there were various poker groups operating the same way. Nice little earner so long as you didn't deposit too much as every now and then your money would disappear lol. Used to just price it in to the costs 😅

Not only are they banning GH racing here in NZ they are pushing thru a law to stop Off Shore betting, They stated they want a monopoly on gambling. TAB is now owned by Entain so will betfair be part of their "Monopoly" I think not.

Entains book for horse racing is around 130% and for sports it is 108% they estimate $100m is being bet off shore, you don't have to be a genius to work out why. They are fooling themselves if they believe that once the Pro gamblers can't bet off shore they will come back to the TAB, most will move to Australia.

My only hope is the ban for offshore will be on those that don't pay commission for offering NZ racing, Betfair do and are part of Entain so there is a glimmer of hope for me

Just checked the first race today and the book is 130% for the win fixed odds and 384% for the fixed place and what is even worse is in a 7 runner race for the place where they will only pay two places the book is 394%, nearly double what it should be. And they wonder why people bet offshore most likely Betfair.

This person has certainly contributed a lot of valuable content to the forum. However, I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for a verified long-term track record, considering that they’ve declined multiple requests for one in the past.

As above Memphis, the input you provide is much valued. But screen shots on random days of P&L will frustrate unsuspecting newbies. Its no value to them and may result in them thinking if they follow everything you do they can be making £300 daily

He’s probably now considering posting dailies for 90 consecutive days just to annoy you guys even more, that should amount to 3 months

Damned if you do and damned if you don't!
