The WMD justification for the intervention in Iraq was non-existent and a decent man collapsed under the pressure of a minor indiscretion, and was not supported.
But I would also say BJ's letter was extraordinarily bitter and is at odds with what the committee have found. He is attempting to bluster his way to some sort of political future. God (if there is one) help us all!

Boris did what he has always done when in a corner. Lie and try to shift the blame. Its his modus operandi
Unfortunatley the right wing media dominate the narrative in Britain so they can spin it as whatever way they like.
For example, its a remoaner plot to reverse Brexit or something. And a lot of people will fall for that crap

Strangely enough support for indie has no change c48% (since the kerfuffle started) and SNP down a few points c36% last time I looked. SNP membership has actually increased c10k and Alba now 3rd largest party by membership in Scotland.
Atm looks like Greens and Labour have picked up a bit and would expect Labour to win a few more seats at next general election (6 to 8) but can't see there being the seismic shift as described by labour.
When / if we get the Ferrier by-election maybe get a better idea?
PS: Tories are toast.
