So 5.5 stone per shoulder and maintaining close formation, no wonder they looked concentrated.

That should be easy for them. Basic training teaches each of them how to carry all their issued kit, ammuntion and rifle with a total weight of 130lbs.

When i did it in the 1980s the sergeant made us fill our back packs with sand, run 3 miles, then into a river. You can imagine the weight after. The sadistic bastard!!.

But that does remind me of my 1st manager. Ex WW2 drill Sgt Major. And he admitted he was hard on everyone. But he said something that has stuck with me.
"I needed to get these lads to obey commands without question. It could save their life".
I'm not saying he was correct but it does inform the apparent sadism of military training.

To be fair he did teach us a hell of allot and at the end we were super physically fit 17 year olds. But we did curse him like mad while running 6 miles at 5.00am before breakfast.

The MOD made a statement saying they had intelligence that Russia was planning on hitting Ukraine infrastructure and civilian areas with hypersonic missiles. Raytheon and Northrop Grumman Missile defense contractor is working on 2 Interceptor prototypes, one for hypersonic cruise missiles and one for hypersonic glide based missiles. The two prototype systems are due for testing and evaluation in February 2023.

Is there no limit how much the media can regurgitate the same information?

It's actually disrespectful IMO. Treating her like a commodity to extract the maximum ratings from until everyone is fed up.
