Probably from 5pm and until the media has extracted the last droplet of interest.
On the other hand Quest are not running ads today, just the same sombre classical piece that I can't be bothered googling because it's tedious.

So 5.5 stone per shoulder and maintaining close formation, no wonder they looked concentrated.
That should be easy for them. Basic training teaches each of them how to carry all their issued kit, ammuntion and rifle with a total weight of 130lbs.

When i did it in the 1980s the sergeant made us fill our back packs with sand, run 3 miles, then into a river. You can imagine the weight after. The sadistic bastard!!.
Jeez, I doff my cap to you Sir.
But that does remind me of my 1st manager. Ex WW2 drill Sgt Major. And he admitted he was hard on everyone. But he said something that has stuck with me.
"I needed to get these lads to obey commands without question. It could save their life".
I'm not saying he was correct but it does inform the apparent sadism of military training.
To be fair he did teach us a hell of allot and at the end we were super physically fit 17 year olds. But we did curse him like mad while running 6 miles at 5.00am before breakfast.

But the worm omelette’s are best forgotten. 🤮

Some people have queued for 12 hours to file by the coffin and now they're queuing up for the funeral.
Still a shorter queue than on some football markets

Douglas Henshaw has caused rather a stir on twitter.

“People do realise the Queen is not actually in the coffin, don’t they”

I imagine he is on his way to the Tower of London to be castrated.

😂

Really? They've just been hauling a lump of oak and lead?
TBH i doubt that.
Regardless of the difficulties/risks I'm certain Liz was borne to her final resting place.

It feels so quiet today with the TV off, no cars going by or kids coming back from school. It's just like the first lockdown.

It is truly a historic day if you've finally run out of things to complain about :D

Unless that's you complaining about the lack of things to complain about!

Yup. 24/7 coverage since she passed. Does her funeral draw a line? No. It's flipping relentless mawkishness.
Now the One Show is rehashing everything that has been discussed for the last week. FFS what a total shower.

You want to get one those modern tvs with multiple channels - I've checked and there have been films and alternative programmes aplenty throughout. Same goes for the radio - dance music and even "major chords".

It seems some people just tune in to find something to complain about and put it on this thread. I have my opinion on who the shower are.

What about news? What's going on in Ukraine? Has Putin pressed the button yet?

The MOD made a statement saying they had intelligence that Russia was planning on hitting Ukraine infrastructure and civilian areas with hypersonic missiles. Raytheon and Northrop Grumman Missile defense contractor is working on 2 Interceptor prototypes, one for hypersonic cruise missiles and one for hypersonic glide based missiles. The two prototype systems are due for testing and evaluation in February 2023.

In other news, President Biden stated once again that the USA will defend Tawain from China.

It's just lighthearted observations, our way of coping with the unbearable grief.

Is the hourly repeat of the funeral for people who missed it, even though they've been given a day of to watch it, or is it for people coming back from the queue/funeral to watch it again?

I think you delberately missed my point.
Is there no limit how much the media can regurgitate the same information?
FFS she's dead and buried. Why rake over what we've heard all week?
It's actually disrespectful IMO. Treating her like a commodity to extract the maximum ratings from until everyone is fed up.
