Personally I think the whole nuclear threat from Russia is just sabre rattling. Using a nuke would probably achieve very little for Putin, and risk everything. He might test one in the sea or something but thats kinda lame.
He is losing in Ukraine and has to find a way out so he can hold onto power in Russia. I doubt when all this began he thought that come winter he would be in retreat in Ukraine.
I wonder how it will play out

If someone were to stick a knife in your stomach, what could do more damage, leaving it in or pulling it out?.
The Russians are known for their love of chess… don’t be so sure the perception of Putin losing isn’t actually him pulling out the knife.

As my Sargent Major once taught me many moons ago, knife in, twist, knife out. Individual will never make it to hospital.jamesg46 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 11:52 pm“He’s losing in Ukraine” interesting point of view.Archangel wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:16 pmPersonally I think the whole nuclear threat from Russia is just sabre rattling. Ukraine to receive new version of HIMRAS missile system capable of destroying 1.3 square kilometer with one missile strike. The new system has a range of 300 miles. Delivery will take place over the next 2 weeks via secure routes out of Poland.

How would you say it was going for him in Ukraine. Winning ?
Yes, for real : https://www.teslarati.com/twitter-refus ... newed-bid/
Technically, I do have a picture of a news anchor as my avatar
Starting to wonder what the end game is here now.
Putin has had his nose well and truly rubbed in it. Russian citizens are fleeing, but there is no way they will try overthrow Putin. He is locked in an echo chamber and Ukraine are advancing and making very specific statements about intent with attacks like this one this morning.
Russia could withdraw, but you get the feeling that Putin will just throw as many dead bodies at it that he can rather than give up.

Fat chance of Russian citizens doing a Maidan type revolution like Ukrainians did in 2014, Putin has them well and truly depoliticized, they would rather run. But there is a lot of dissent recently in the Kremlin ranks and a lot of finger-pointing going on, they're looking for a scapegoat. The pressure will keep mounting since the Ukrainian army will continue advancing, the southern Kherson front has all but fallen apart as well.
Good insight into Putin's regime and their plans overall from Vlad Vexler, for those that fancy a deeper dive on the subject : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2697pPORYuw

He wants king,s Death and not a mere mortal politician.
- he has absolute powers and control over His people...Mao of china , Stalin , Hitler , idi amin , saddam hussein , gaddafi , Putin .
loved and supported by the people and represent an ideological movement difficult to get rid off.
Putin decides the future of Europe , either political instabilities caused by Cost of living or we perish in a Nuclear war.
i think China Is the end game. ...covid 19 was a chemical Bomb .
The Chinese dragon has many heads and Russia is One of them . AND Nobody knows where the DEADLY Dragon tail is Hiding .
so we should all prepare for a Chinese Take over Where Nothing happens to Putin.
You may have seen this image before if you use Edge or Bing wallpapers. I don't know where this bridge is but it would certainly be a good idea to blow it up with a ballistic missile strike. It looks flipping awful!
Edit: It's Abu Dhabi.

Well that took a minute to find, had to search for "bridge purple green"

Sorry Derek but that's well out of range of HIMARS missiles.
