Ukraine Crisis
Can't help but have a look at current war map before footy starts. If Russian army is not careful here, when Ukraine reaches Crimea this could be another Dunkirk situation. They have so many troops there and nowhere to run if the Kerch bridge is rendered unusable.
Russia says the trains will be crossing it again in 24 hours.Kai wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 2:33 pmCan't help but have a look at current war map before footy starts. If losing is 0 & winning is 1 then based on the recapture of the occupied territories I’d still have Russia at 0.75.Archangel wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:13 amjamesg46 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 11:52 pm“He’s losing in Ukraine” interesting point of view.Archangel wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:16 pmPersonally I think the whole nuclear threat from Russia is just sabre rattling. Using a nuke would probably achieve very little for Putin, and risk everything. He might test one in the sea or something but thats kinda lame.
He is losing in Ukraine and has to find a way out so he can hold onto power in Russia. I doubt when all this began he thought that come winter he would be in retreat in Ukraine.
I wonder how it will play out
How would you say it was going for him in Ukraine. Winning ?
Putin has taken some blows, but in the bigger picture I’m not in the camp that he’s losing (yet).
I think as some fear, we’re about to see something horrific that changes the recent Ukrainian momentum… I’m hoping it isn’t a tactical nuke but considering Russia now considers those occupied regions as Russian it feels to me that a reaction is imminent.

As evil Putin advances from defeat to defeat I could not rule out a palace coup.

The bridge from Crimea to Russia was not hit by a missile. Ukraine special forces (I suspect UK and USA) planted explosives underneath the bridge caused the mayhem.
My friends husband in Hereford as not been seen since March. Conclude from that what you wish.
Biden has already said they working around the clock to give Russia and Putin a way out to save face.
Zelenskyy is not giving up, even if the USA tells him too.
Putin only option is to go for the unthinkable but NATO will totally destroy Russia and depending on weather movements means China will be clobbered and drawn into the conflict.
Therefore, before all this happens, I think Putin will be removed from power and never seen again.

Well unless you provide a bit more context there we can only conclude that he left her for another woman?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 4:56 pmThe bridge from Crimea to Russia was not hit by a missile. Remember 1991, surreal news footage of a Russian tank opening fire on a government building. I can see that happening again. It's difficult to get close to Putin but you won't need to with a T-90.

Thermonuclear weapons don't have much fallout if detonated from an appropriate height, which actually does more damage and prevents the fireball from touching the ground and causing contamination. I'm pretty sure the US/NATO won't be daft enough to draw China into the conflict.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 4:56 pmPutin only option is to go for the unthinkable but NATO will totally destroy Russia and depending on weather movements means China will be clobbered and drawn into the conflict.

I got military friends all over the place but not in Russia. We all know what’s in Hereford, those naughty lot with no morales and immune from prosecution. I remember death on the rock, IRA members, hands in the air, unarmed. Taken out with headshots. Caused a big stir at the time with the holiday brigade.
Labour and LD said there should be a hearing and court case. Mrs ‘T’ said, none of them will ever see a courtroom.
She was correct, none of them ever did. A senior judge at the time had all potential proceedings sealed for 100 years. By doing so, he basically was confirming that those individuals were basically executed in front of the world.
Funny old world we live in…
