If I’m being honest, I was initially rooting for Penny. She wasn’t in the cabinet, she didn’t appear tarnished. Came from a modest background.
Now it appears her navy experience was minimal, if not token. She is work shy. She is pretty dim. She changed her tune on trans issues overnight (I just want her to be honest although I understand why she did)
Like the above posters, I rather have Sunak. He might be incredibly out of touch but I trust he understands a bit more about the economy than Truss or Penny.
Either way, the next PM is going to be a placeholder for Starmer at the next general and it can’t come soon enough.
Next Prime Minister / Tory Party Leader
Sunak looks more and more like the sensible option. The rest are either feeble or looney (ie Truss , sorry Archery1969 and Derek27).
The distressing thing for me as a left-wing liberal is there is no credible alternative in any party.
Lol Should we have a General Election?
I don''t think I have the vocabulary to describe the stupidity and waste of air time of that question.

I have to admit, if it were me then I wouldn't have taken part in the debates either. This is not a US style presidential election. Attacking each other and airing dirty linen in public is not good viewing.
In fairness, Labour wouldn't be any different, they'd be at each other's throats as well. But Sunak's question to Truss was not only an attack but it was completely off-topic as well!
Given that the public (or selection of) won't get to vote until they're down to the last two, it would have made more sense to have a debate at that stage.

I haven't watched a single one.
Debates always seem odd to me as they are just one-liner point scoring. Nothing ever gets settled in a debate, it's a like a boxing match. You have to defend well and hope you don't get hit with a knockout punch.
Just entertainment for TV, never any serious debate.
