My assessment of that Man U performance is they turned up the wick when it suited them. So OGS isn't in control of that team at all. And nobody has been since Fergie retired. Those player need a big kick up the backside. You're playing for arguably one of three of the biggest, best resourced clubs in the world. Shocking.

Sounds like David Moyes is coming back to manage Everton.

Big plunge on Brugge this evening.

Quite the move on Brugge, glanced over the prices yesterday and tbh it did look like a genuine steam was starting to develop. Looking at it now it's no doubt because of the sheer amount of injuries to key players for Galatasaray, so there was definitely an opportunity there. Sometimes it's as straightforward as that.

Looks like somebody has felt it has gone far enough.

Surprised to see Moyes still favourite to succeed Silva.
Never met an Everton supporter that was a Moyes fan.
Even when they were winning and pushing for Europe I was confronted by scowls and expletives about boring/ugly football and oddball players.
Personally, I saw no problem with him.
He got a lot out of the likes of Cahill, Fellaini etc. Ok, it wasn't total football, but that takes exceptional players, which takes exceptional funds.
They punched above their budget under Moyes for me.
I feel a bit sorry (well, not that sorry as they're all millionaires) for the likes of Pulis, Allardyce, Moyes etc.
They create something greater than the sum of its parts, but get stick for having pragmatic tactics that keep their teams in the top flight.

I think Spurs are out of the CL if they lose this game. They have to go to Munich for their last game and Olympiacos will host Zvezda who will most likely do them a favor because those two clubs have a strong brotherhood type bond between them, wouldn't surprise me if they resort to match fixing either.

Spurs lucky to get that leg up just before half time. But they all count I guess.

Clutch goal just before half time, they look pretty fragile mentally but they just need to be patient now and hit Olympiacos on the break to kill the game.

Which is exactly what they did. Much better in the second half.

Jose' praises the ballboy for his contribution :!:

I remember a post I put up praising the Liverpool ballboy. He was responsible for quick thinking that enabled Trent A-A to whizz the ball to Origi to score the deciding goal v Barcelona. I looked back at it, in case I was mistaken, no, the original ball was still in the area, so the defence chilled not knowing another ball had already been thrown to T.A-A. As it gets kicked out of play, T.A-A seizes the opportunity.

Not trying to take the credit away from the boy but it wasn't really quick thinking, all of the ballboys were educated and trained to do exactly that, the role that they play can be important in certain situations during a match : https://www.90min.com/posts/6364426-liv ... -barcelona

There are many more articles about it from the likes of The Times, Daily Mail etc but they are behind a paywall so not worth linking.

Jose on the other hand appears to have embarked on a massive PR campaign ever since he left United, to me personally he looks like someone who wants to prove to everyone that he is still the best manager around, I've already lost count on how many times he's plugged the Amazon series and the season has only just begun :) I remember him making snarky comments on how much everyone loves Klopp etc, there's almost a hint of genuine envy to all of the attention that Klopp was getting while Jose was only getting grief from people, and now looks like he has learned a thing or two from Klopp, but I have to wonder how much of this behavior is genuine and how much of it is just an act for the cameras, including the ballboy scene.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this or maybe he's just using Spurs/Amazon for a very personal agenda.
