The guy sat next to me said one was coming just as the corner was about to be taken
Had he used Betfair after the 5sec delay he'd have been matched just seconds before the ball hit the net ;)

Lively market for Man Utd who play the champions of Kazakhstan this evening, they're at 0 points in the group with just 1 goal scored and 14 goals against them.

I came round to comment and ask for thoughts on this one? Seeing as the price on United has dropped even further since your post.

Apart from the overall record you mention, AZ did a number on them. Didn't see the first of those, but did watch the second (in Astana) and AZ did make them look rank amateurs.

On the flip, a youthful United side didn't exactly do that. Yeah, they dominated and got over the line, but not enough so for this price imho. Espeically when you throw in it being an even more inexperienced United side today, this being Astana's CL final, and the current temp of minus 12 degrees in Astana  Too many unknowns for this to be below evens for me.

I've already taken a nibble against United. Doesn't have to move much more, before I'm biting the hand off the market.

The more aggressive the move the bigger the overreaction in general from my experience. Just wanted to casually highlight the trading opportunity in both laying United at first and backing if it reaches a critical point of around 2.50 or even 3.0, not much of a surprise that the price for now settled smack bang in the middle. I used to regularly jump on such trades but it's become a bit too much work (and too much exposure), I like faster trades and faster markets in general nowadays.

The fact that o2.5 didn't fly out along with United was perhaps a little hint that MO overreacted slightly  But yeah, the kids will for sure get a nice run out, plenty of uncertainty in this market and this current range from 1.90 to 2s can be volatile, so as usual for a preoff market most of the value is already gone imho. Because obviously the trending part is long done, price is just ranging now until teamnews comes out.

Surely Emery gets the sack now.

He's replaced Marco Silva as the favorite on the "Next manager to leave" market but there's barely any liquidity.

You'd think so! But then Moyes is still favourite to be next Everton manager. And I've said said already the Toffee's I know are dead against that. Go figure! Football, eh!

Next manager market might be interesting!

I can't imagine for a second that Pochettino would end up there

Was hoping I'd wake up to this news since I placed a little fun bet on Emery to get sacked just before bed, too bad it's such a weak market because it seems really fun, I guess the only real play here was to lay Marco Silva days ago around 1.20ish :( Probably a strategy I may play around with in future markets.

Btw, something was holding up the price on Emery at 1.50 last night for hours, a stake of 586 that never lowered no matter how much got matched so you could match whatever amount you wanted before it got pulled around 3 AM, thought about it myself since looked like great value but never placed a bet like this before, also noticed Paddy Power was practically the only bookie that was still offering 1.50 on Emery as well, the rest had it much lower.

Best of luck to Emery I guess.

It will be an important appointment. You often hear Eddie Howe mentioned a lot, but that seems risky. They seem to want somebody who can get the best out of continental players.

Massive opportunity for Freddie Ljungberg, last team he managed was Arsenal U23s. The interesting bit is that he doesn't even have a coaching licence so he's not allowed to manage them for longer than 12 weeks, unless he goes back to school whilst managing Arsenal at the same time.
