On days like this I'm trading each market late on, I guess the spikes are coming earlier than I can see?

Start listing the time you see the spike on each race and post it here and I'll see if I can correlate anything.

Generally over the last few days its being happening around the 4 minute mark, yesterday was a little bit more random and obviously today with the smaller gaps its more random too. Interesting thing for me is there seems to be quite a few that have happened bang on 4m19s from post time.

Absolute killer if you're only trading one runner and you're on the wrong side of it. I adjusted stakes after noticing it first and it balanced out for me yesterday but I usually trade more than 1 runner so that mitigates it a little unless you're very unlucky!

Will keep an eye out for anymore and post them here.

I generally don't trade until the previous race has finished, as that is when you get a rush of volume. That's why I'm interested in the timings.

I deliberately try to straddle periods of activity. So that York race that just went off, I waited till -2 mins before getting stuck in. That was when Hexham finished. If I would have traded earlier I would have been taken out by the surge in volume at that point.

It was happening on Wednesday and Thursday too after the previous races were finished, and yesterday in the evening racing

Just happened there to a smaller extent in the next at Newmarket, was about 4:40 from post.

Maximal & Megallan came in and Dhahabi, Akmaam & Qaadar spiking out all at the exact same time.

That looks like a large order skewing because of XM

The 13:45 Newm Krypios spike was for around 14.5k, between 4 & 5 mins from the off..

If you put the time value on advanced charts it will timestamp near the exact point. I'm not in the market at that point, so not me :)
