Ruby Walsh talking abut a horse whose handicap mark is now fu#ked and talking about another one saying he wouldn't buy the cu@t now!

Racing tv extra is worth the subscription fee for that kind of insight alone! :D

Not bad for me but could have been better. I had a few tech glitches, probably just the usual Saturday afternoon issues but didn't fill me with a lot of confidence. Could have done with a bigger gap between the decent races today, 5 minutes between Newmarket and Wetherby didn't help.

Has felt like a strong day for IP between Graded racing and a good chunk of races changing complexion late on, am sure P&L is good but won't know til end of day

yeah, annoying when you see something but can’t get involved with conviction really til last race has finished, feels like suffering all the blood, sweat & tears learning this is now starting to be worthwhile

I managed to get a decent result from the feature race, but haven't enjoyed the other stuff that much. Not a long enough run in for me really. Such is life.

So you are saying you will not go full bank on anything unless last race over and you see where the money is going and you prefer more time between races to see what's gonna develop as the money arrives? Sorry Koratt.. just fishing for info. Thanks.

if you get in before the last race is over who’s to say that there isn’t someone that is willing to put down smart money the other side?, before the last race has finished there are indications that indicate how a move COULD play out but until the last race is over the skeletons are still in the closet so to speak?

And I assume you just look for a bit of momentum, volume, etc from the ladders to confirm your suspicions around that time then?

it can be a split second decision sometimes, what I mean by that is when the last race has finished, identifying which runner you’re looking at putting your money on, if what you thought is gonna play out whilst at the same time establishing a position with value without missing it if indeed you were correct with your thinking

Thanks Korattt. I know Trader Pat says same in Goat's thread. Tbh, I rarely consider when money arrives. :D Gonna have to bear this in mind.

I remember when I would trade the trends based on the bf chart, and SO MANY times (even when I had WoM confirmation too) I'd just get carted as it reversed against me as the money started arriving. I was betting into the basically dead market when prev. race hadn't even started and waiting for something to happen (would switch to next mkt at post time). All felt very random (shocker).

Probably didn't help that I used to hold my pos. thinking "it's just a pullback, it will turn" either... 😅
