Maybe they were holding down your 1900 euros to see how the race developed towards the end, or to see if you sold out in fear. Sounds like you got out at the first sign of green which would suggest you could not accept a loss?

yeah some one was holding it down,i would have taken a loss no problem its all part of it,but the horse just never looked like it was going to reach the leaders,so i stayed in ,hard ridden for a long way out, thats why i stayed in,but there was a fear, when something like this happens thoughts go through my mind in mili seconds adrenalin pumping .did i lay the right horse (checking jockey colors) is there something i cant see ? is my video feed slow ?one has to make a decision very quickly, taking 3 seconds to make a decission inrunning can be too long,it was a very squeeky bum moment ,one that i dont plan to have for a very very long time again.steven1976 wrote:Maybe they were holding down your 1900 euros to see how the race developed towards the end, or to see if you sold out in fear. Don't get me wrong, I'd probably have done the same thing which is why I feel I can identify to it.
However if all them thoughts had gone through your head then surely you were over staking to what you are comfortable with to begin with?

stephen you are right..im over staking.ive been doing really well last couple of months and as a result im trading with a bank much larger than im used to. its been causing me problems,im still coming out in pofit every day,BUT if i can get my steaking right and eliminate the errors (or most of them ) ill be doing really really well,im just putting too much money in the wrong markets,i need to find common ground,steven1976 wrote:Don't get me wrong, I'd probably have done the same thing which is why I feel I can identify to it.

He/She layed scoreline 14.10 Wolves for crazy amounts at around the 9.0 mark causing a massive spike seconds before the off horse went on to win would of loved to see his red in that race
I have just started ignoring him now and the large lays seem to happen when he hasnt managed to influence the market the way he wanted to.
Just wondering has any of our top lads managed to make any sense of it??

My take on the money slopper/market manipulator...
Since the end of last week when BetAngel latest version launched he has met a lot more resistance to his attempts to move the market.
I would suggest that this is due to the more savvy BetAngel users building some automation using the new functionality to eat into the manipulators profits.
It will be interesting to see how things play out over Christmas.

Why do people manipulate the markets? Are they evil? greedy? or lazy? or all three? They all seem to have large amounts of money why don't they just flow along with the market?BabyArber wrote:My take on the money slopper/market manipulator...
