There was a significant gamble on Mostallim in the last at Southwell, it took my breath away.
Lovely end to the day!

I was actually happily trading the favourite but got on when it broke 6, greened up at 4 thinking that was the end of it and then laid it at the bottom and got the drift back out to mid 4's. It traded more like a maiden or a NH flat race than a handicap.

You're a very brave man if you got on that near the top! :)

Got the bottom at 3.55. I had stopped trading hours ago but was watching races to study. When I seen it, I thought I gotta get on that. it's gotta go back. Just luck tbh though.

Did you have the finger poised to strike if it broke 6? Sorry for all the questions. just curious what other traders get up to.

Yeah the favourite was ranging between 4 & 5 and the second and 3rd favourites were starting to look weak so thats what drew my attention to it but didn't expect it to then come all the way in. When prices are coming in like that you have to be ready for a severe snap back but it didn't come. I laid some green off at 5.5 then again at 5 but it just kept coming.

I assume if it had snapped back from 5.5 or 5, you would have scratched and got out asap, assuming that it would fly back out. Or would you have had any reason to hold that one since you would have had some breathing space with your small scales? Tia

I laid some off at 5.5 but it wasnt enough to protect me from a loss if it snapped back so I was ready to dump it at 6.20 but it came straight through 5.5. When I laid a bit more off at 5 then I was protected so I could sit back and relax.

Well done.

I'm pretty quiet at the moment. Main focus is the US Masters this week, so I'm all in on that. Just hope I can get something from it.

Spent this afternoon working on a scalping bot, only got the lay side completed, its just placed 14 successful lay scalps on the same selection back to back. Here comes the next market, 28 unsuccessful lay scalps in row

You don't see traded volume columns that look like that very often

Often see it post-withdrawal due to price rounding
