Just missed an opportunity because I couldn't find my flipping mouse pointer on the screen. And while I'm here, how about a £100 fine for drivers and riders of vehicles that misfire after 11 pm?
Servants programed to specific key's is the future Derek.
No servant can be programmed to place a bet where a manual trader wants it at a particular time, unless it can connect to your brain.

While I'm here again (it's now two rants per post  ), apparently, there's an easy way of avoiding extradition. Just refuse to leave your cell!!

Prince Andrew, take note.
You'll have to give me an example because I disagree, a Servant can place a bet whenever you want wherever you want at the touch of a button. The only limitation to Servants is the master.

I'm not getting involved with my thoughts on the Royals, it had me in hot water last time.

I decide to place a lay bet of £50 at 1.77 on a particular selection. How would pressing a button indicate the stake, price, polarity and selection?

Well, tbh I figured that you would more than likely have some sort of methodical process to placing bets & your usual process could be mirrored using a Servant assigned to a keystroke.

You got me there though, I suppose if you're just going to float a random stake into the market at a random price & time then manual is the way.

For all of the other mundane structured tasks Servants are perfect. Even for less structured tasks they're good, for example I have a Servant that will scale out a % of my net stake that's in the market, I tend to use that on Irish markets when I realise I'm way too exposed... I just keep tapping the button taking out small bets, saves a load of mouse action and imo gives a speed advantage.

I've not yet found myself wondering around the ladder undecided, I'm usually close to the touch price so I guess I'm saying this biased from my own experience.

I came across some trader on Twitter the other day, Carl I think his name was, never heard of him before but through someone commenting on one of his posts he popped up on my Twitter. Out of curiosity I went to take a peek at his Twitter and it turns out he's an inplay trader that offers courses... at this point I've just had to dig a little deeper, my curiosity is too overwhelming.

Anyway, I've ended up at his website and it says enter your email address for a free video... I COULD NOT RESIST, I had to get it. The video came through and I spent some time watching it a few times, in this particular video he was trading the off and laying a horse that started poorly. One thing I'd noticed, well he explained was that he'd got his ladders in order of the stalls not price which I think is a really good idea. So the race started and in stall 8 the horse reared and got off to a slow start... at this point he's scrambling with his mouse to get to the stall 8 ladder. Unfortunately he's using another software but imagine how much of an advantage to him it would be to just press something like alt 8. His entire process was structured but he missed out on the better prices through scrambling with his mouse.

He actually makes a comment in the video of how he was unusually slow there and missed the best prices.

So apparently everyone gets to work from home in their undies now, not just us traders :| That has to be the worst thing about this blasted pandemic for me. Besides all the death of corpse.

I mean, we used to do it long before it was cool and now every idiot can do it. I find this unacceptable in the short term and unsustainable in the long term, our society cannot function like this, the vast majority simply has to wear ties OR AT LEAST PANTS so that a few of us can stay in our undies.

Have we... have we become mainstream??

We will all have to go one step further and remove the undies. The naked degenerates.

My most used servant for the over/unders lays to return zero and throw the free bet on the other selection, but it uses servant context price so I still need the mouse pointer and ladder. Don't forget the benefits of manual trading and being able to see the full ladder, where the gaps are and everything that's going on in the market - that's something automation can never do. :)

We need video call centres so we can see for ourselves that the person you're talking to is dressed appropriately. I'd ask them to stand up before parting with any cash.

I love those offshore call centres, it's like National Geographic. I was engaged in a conversation last week with my network provider in Mumbai about lions, and tigers :D

Oh, and another conversation we discussed indian jockeys for camel racing in the Middle East. Of which I used to be a BIG follower ...

But it can get a bit nippy with the AC on, plus the buttocks always somehow get glued to the leather. Or so I've heard :|

You're like the opposite of Derek, imagine him doing that, I think he'd rather feed them to lions and tigers instead :)

Decent idea but the technology is not there yet Derek. You and me both worked hard for the privilege of not having to wear pants whilst working, while the government is now giving away this sacred privilege for free. We have to face the cold hard truth, we're nothing but normies now, the days where others raise their eyebrow when we say we're working from home are long gone!!!

Put a young Indian or Malasian girl with a sexy voice on the line and I go all gooey. :D

I would never trade without being properly dressed. I even feel uncomfortable after a shower when I'm trading without my socks on. :)

How the fuck does a vandal get away with spray-painting public property without prosecution just because people like his vandalism?

The heaps of ashes I turned park benches into in my youth were artwork to me, I would have photographed them if we had mobile phones at the time.

Are the police even investigating the crimes?

I just heard my friend had his bicycle stolen last evening. Someone stole mine the evening of the European Cup Final. Some SAD characters out there ...
