I've taken a loss this match, and don't see anyway I'll get out of it without something spectacular happening

Worst performance I've seen from a British No. 1. And thats saying something.

Have a habit of blowing a lot of my profits on the last game so I'm quitting here. :D

This year could have been one of Konta's best chances to get into a final

Thats actually a digraceful performance by Konta. Long, wide, stupidly taking high balls. Just awful.

Konta is a base-line player, why did she try to mix it with a top-rated doubles player. Doubles is all about shot-making. What a dumb strategy! Just patiently keep it deep, wear the opponent down. Konta is a better athlete. I'm staggered at that performance. Sorry. Rant over!

Or perhaps it was because Aus v Eng is on Thursday?

She didn't play that well, loads of unforced errors. Got a lucky early break but Konta didn't defend it very well.

Of this years 8 QF women only the 7th and 8th seed made it, doubt we'll see that again for a while

Wouldn't mind an upset in the Federer match or at least for it to be a lengthy match, just to help push Nadal's outright price in further

Bit of a rocky start for Novak
