Even Sir Alex was gracious enough to admit that Barcelona were the better side, rather than blaming Lady Luck or the referee!

21/22 goals this evening I suggest.

Lowest scoring match is likely to be Olympiakos vs. Marseille

I'm looking forward to see Porto smash Shaktar tonight, but I'll be cautious with it.

Benfica - Man Utd will be a lay whoever scores first for me, but especially Benfica, should they score first, what I'm looking forward to, as I'll trade the early stages and pre-off leaving all the money in Benfica. O2.5 is too long?

Nice result on the Barcelona match last night! I will lean on the side of lots more goals than normal this evening and therefore overs are in-play and unders at risk this evening.

Because this evening’s matches should produce more goals I would raise my forecast to around 23/24. We were a bit light on goals last night.

I’d rank most to least goals as: -

Dinamo Zagreb vs. Real Madrid
Man City vs. Napoli
Inter vs. Trabzonspor
Villarreal vs. B Munich
Ajax vs. Lyon
Benfica vs. Man Utd
FC Basel vs. Otelul Galati
Lille vs. CSKA Moscow

Both Manchunian matches deserve a bit of attention this evening and if either team carry their form forward from the premier league then their opponents will be in trouble. I suspect Man Utd will just be looking at progression at this point and will be less likely to really go for it so early on in the group stages. With confidence flowing I think Man Utd are a good price at 1.93. The less competitive matches look much less interesting.

Hi Enzabella

Long time no see!

The odds are a bit skinny, aren't they?

I didn't spend any time watching Inter this season, but Trabzonsport played against Benfica twice and they aren't an easy team, that's for sure. They finished second last season with the same amount of points of Fenerbahçe, the champion.

Off course Inter are legitimate favourites and the most likely result is a home win.

Yesterday Porto should have scored a lot more goals. I traded the game for an ok result, but was unhappy to not land a small ah bet I had with a bookie...

Good luck to you all, whatever you're doing!

Five changes in the city side so the starting 11 is probably only worth £500bn or so.

Very few goals around so far. I fancy a few half time under 2.5 lays.

Lay unders looks good value in the Man City match.

Been browsing the stats at half time, there is quite a divergence between one set of 'official' stats and another.

Hi ALL,
Would some one be knid enough to comment on my thoughts on selecting football markets by the match odds.my thoughts are as follows .
birmingham v braga ,
birmingham 3.15 --braga 2.58 --draw 3.15
this would suggest to me that its a tight match and not a big score is predicted so it would be relatevly safe to trade under 2.5 goals ?
next game..
Madrid v celtic
madrid 1.42 ---celtic 10.00 --draw,,5.1
looks like madrid is expected to kick the ass of celtic.and alot of goals are expected ,trading under 2.5 would be risky and i might be better to lay all the scores on the side of celtic winning.
AM I ON THE RIGHT TRACK ??? COMMENTS PLEASE..
if i lose any more money this week ill sit down and cry like a little red headed school child.
Thanks
Marc

Sorry for that result, Enzabella, I hope you managed to trade out to minimize your losses...

I can't honestly talk about Braga, I'm always wrong! I would say they have a solid defence (only conceded one goal in the league so far) so laying O2.5 makes sense, but given my previous record with Braga, you might be better backing O2.5?

Yesterday I was spot on the Benfica - Man Utd game, and Benfica scoring first was a nice bonus. Unfortunately I was too rushy laying Benfica and payed a poor price, so my result should have been better. O2.5 should have landed, but you know, it's football :)

No need to scream, mate ;)
