Today is Australia's biggest sporting day so it will be interesting to see how weak the markets are. Victoria have put on a token meeting at Mornington with the serious stuff at Caulfield tomorrow.
Mornington is being manipulated like the Victorian markets usually are, I will be steering clear of it. Thousands staked up and vanishing. It 'appears' to have more money in the market than the likes of Randwick.

Betfair were very slow to turn R2 at Mornington inplay and the fav who had been steady at around 2.60 broke poorly and drifted massively before they turned it inplay and returned an SP of 3.06

Another good scalping market - I'm not leaving Randwick tonight. :D

In play is completely dead. I can't remember anything like this on a Saturday. Sunday is usually better!

Away from Randwick I am finding it quite poor. Still very early though and several tracks still to join the party.

4:40 Randwick was quite volatile considering the amount of money in it - rare loss for me at Randwick.

Randwick is a lot less stable than is normal. That was a big strong move for Ace High in R4.

I finished scalping with 5 minutes to go, last match was around 4.1.

Why do you stop so long before the start? You must have missed about 8 minutes of the market and the most liquid period. It went off around the 3.0 mark.

I carried on trading other selections but stopped scalping Ace High as I could see the market was going to get volatile.

I have a question for more experienced traders. Do you like to use "tick offset" when trading aussie market or in general? Or it's better to close trades manually? thanks

I never use it, always close manually. Maybe try both and see what suits you though.

Thanks PDC. In general I have tick offset enabled. I will try without it to see how it goes. Cheers

I would compare it to an automatic gearbox. Maybe convenient, but a manual gives you more control.
