Southampton fans on here should look forward to this weekends match against Wolves with some confidence. The Man Utd v Wolves cup tie last night was the 4th flat performance in a row from Wolves who have just not looked the same team since the xmas matches against Man City and Liverpool.

In 3 years of watching the Nuno revolution unfold at Wolves I have never seen the team under him look so drained or lacking swagger as at present. Traore has been the bright spot this season but has struggled more in his last few outings. Wolves wafer thin squad is now really down to the absolute bare bones with key players Boly and Jota injured and Cutrone has shipped out to back to Italy so us Wolves fans are hoping for a couple of decent January signings. I'd say Wolves are unlikely to capitulate easily at St Mary's and I'd expect a dull low scoring game. Liverpool are at Molineux in midweek next week and based on our most recent performances I'd expect Liverpool to have a much easier time of it than they did in the Anfield game.

Ouch! Cadiz v Mirandes last night. I had laid the draw at HT and hedged out liabilities at 90 min 3-1 mark. Today see 95 and 97 min goals to Mirandes. I really should have kept watching or taken more than 14p of that 1000-1 money. Must have been a fantastic last couple of minutes

Has anyone seen the odds for over 3.5 and over 4.5 goals in the Milan vs Udinese game at half time?

Vardy and Rooney to un-retire, start up top together.....and room together. Just for the LOLs and drama.

Congrats to the, big, Pool contingent on here. No jinx, as sure a thing as there's ever been in bleeding January. I've made my feelings known about Pool and Klopp, but that aside, truly well deserved. It's been nothing short of amazing so far this season, and impressive in a way - imho - more significant than a team battering the opponents nearly every match. A combo of being able to batter other teams, but also to dig in when needed, is almighty tough for every team looking to catch up.

So much for my dull low scoring game prediction on Saints v Wolves!

Hopefully Nuno's heroes have now drawn a close to their sticky patch and I'm equally as wrong on Thursday night. Another trio of 2nd half Wolves goals in front of my very eyes at the South Bank end to witness Klopp's first league defeat of the season and Nuno's trademark end of match victory celebration would do very nicely!

....and you could well have Jota back. LFC have to stumble at some point (yes/no?).
Regardless, I'm massively impressed with Wolves, Sheff U.
And the Saints, Watford resurgence.
This is why I'm addicted to football.
