Always amazes me that a horse with virtually zero form to go on can be odds on. Especially Ffos Las when the ground is virtually a mud bath tonight

The Hollie Doyle horse? It amazes me too, especially when I see a 1.4 shot that has never raced before... I mean, how was that possibly priced up?.

SLACK is by far an easier set up. Easy to use and administer.
You have your own SLACK room so why not just invite people from the forum to it?
If I remember correctly, admin didnt want me to be taking people out of the forum because it might look like a third party pushing an outside agenda or some sort of promotional aspect, which I totally understood and agreed with.

The SLACK room is still there. I'd need BA's permission to promote it on here though. I thought it would be maxed out at around 10-15 people. It would also be better if BA Support done the Admin (very little work after set up) as then they are in full conrol of the site.
why don't you lot just swap your phone numbers, much easier, no software, use con calls and whats app. never had any problems with the traders i am in contact with using a mobile phone it works.

Exactly this, I think it was the "Hollie Doyle" factor, I managed to pick up Last Hoorah at 1.97 which is just a stupid price pre off for a horse that's run twice. The going is listed as good to soft but it's more likely to be heavy by now so how it could ever have been odds on is just unbelievable.

I made a boat load on that market  I actually started to lay and then changed my mind and never got back involved.

I've trialled a new set up today and used smaller stakes. This could have been better. the 2 x £19 losses were IR laying a 4.0 Horse at Evens with pre race green, which won. Hope you've had a better day.

You seem to be a liitle more confident in your approach using bigger stakes. With your losses did you cut out to soon becuase of the risk and did the pop back into green before the off?

Most of my stakes for profit under £5 was £25, so room for improvement. Good work.

Was that all pre race or some IR?

I cut out when I've finally accepted defeat  Tbh though that 25ish loss was 2 failed trades but I do prefer to keep losses somewhere closer to a tenner.

It's all pre race. I can't race read and I know nothing about a horses behaviour and very little about how each track should be approached... the things like the up hill finishes etc.

You've done good today for a new strategy, long may it continue.

Sun Power leads - Jockeys just sit off the pace by 3-4 lengths. No horses get into the race and Sun Power wins. Why bother turning up for the race if your not going to get involved.

I was doing so well staying out of the IR crap as well. My REAL downfall.

I've literally ripped the HDMI out of my Sky Box and TV & logged out of Betfair. There is zero chance of me watching another Horse Race whilst Trading.

I cant believe I done this to my self try to make a quick £30 IR - I never learn.

Only positive thing is from 17:15 onwards it improved alot outside of that one dumb decision. I've decided to publicy humiliate myself in the hope I dont do it again.

Kempton 19:25 - Horse Went a few lengths clear early on and the jockeys sat off it assuming it had gone to fast too early. But they got the timings wrong and nothing could get close to it.

I laid it for £40 at 4.6 ish and let it run hoping it would get swamped by fast finishers but they never came and it won. Lost £141.00 - It is the story of my trading life. One bad result wrecks the whole day. For some reason I never learn. So HDMI has been ripped out and I'm not logging in to Betfair again. That way, I cannot watch the racing to make these mistakes. Its like an addiction, watching races.

Oh right, like I said I have zero experience with inplay trading so I have nothing to offer on terms of advice.

Just from an outsider perspective it does sound a little hopeful to lay a horse hoping that others come into the race... & like you've recognised it's a mistake that you keep on making. It's obviously a good thing that you recognise it though, hopefully you have the discipline to not do it again.
