Interesting video about Zelenski's rise to power. If I was a Urainian I'm not sure I could bring myself to vote for a comedian, especially when he played an absent-minded president. It would be like making Lloyd Bridges US president.

Michael Clarke explained the Russian tactics for taking ground on the battlefield. They're spearheaded by convicts and work in 4 groups of 8. The first group, known as the stormtroopers, move forward until fired upon. Then they dig for their lives and get into trenches.

The next group are known as the musicians. Even Clarke can't explain why, but the musicians move forward with their guitars and jump into the trench that the first group dug. The third and fourth groups move forward, they leapfrog each other and continue to dig trenches as they progress.

The Ukrainians who kill most of them with artillery shells say they appear to be less fearful of enemy fire than turning back to get fired on by their own troops!

The difficulty would be organising a simultaneous attack. Who would be the first to fire and sacrifice himself? Will his fellow conscripts support him?

Back in May 2022 a tank commander ran over his boss and dissappeard tank and all. So it’s doable.

You have got be kidding! With a dictator that has survived a decade and swivelled the constitution to keep him in power as long as he likes, who is going to depose him.
Dissenters (including pop groups FFS) get locked up/poisoned.
Putin is a nasty human. He does not represent Russians IMO.
He deposed Medvedev, imprisoned Navalny and appears to have iron control of Russia's hierachy.
His value to the world is "how not to run a country".
