I have to hand it to Trump, he takes his drink well - not even slurring. :)

Just when you thought this thread was over.....
Just before this broke I was going to post about the Senate majority market but couldn't decide whether to revive this monster or create a new one!

Great market and if handing control of the Senate back to the Democrats is his parting gift to the Republican party they'll never forgive him for it.

Be interesting to see how this new 'revelation' influences things

There's absolutely nothing this guy could do that would shock me - everything he does raises the bar!

I don't know what if any bearing it will have on anything, he'll probably wriggle his way out of any jeopardy as usual

Just like a trader who lets trades go in-play, his luck will run out eventually. :)

His best bet would be to resign and let Pence pardon him, but some legal experts consider that's flawed as well. And who would pardon Pence for whatever he's been doing?

I'm looking forward to Trump's next press briefing and usual claims of fake news, not to mention what Kayleigh's got to say. :D

It's shocking that BBC made it their headline news but Sky only fourth on the agenda - behind a boring and unimportant topic like coronavirus!

I'm watching CNN now. :D

He's 74 and has never had to take responsibility for anything that's gone wrong in his life. His luck has held so far, he's on a run of laying 10,000 0-0 draws and hasn't lost yet. :)

I don't think Pence is that stupid to be honest. I think he's done a good job at keeping himself out of the dodgier dealings of the Trump clan and the hangers on, so he probably has nothing to worry about in that sense so can't see him being willing to pardon Trump if asked.

Trump can always argue that Pence was the mastermind and put him up to it. If Trump's as lucky as you think he could get away with it. ;)

The way this parody reality show is going he's going to pin it on Alec Baldwin next.

Can't exactly blame the guy for trying to win, he's sort of gotten used to it ;) Eh, if I was his campaign manager I'd make sure we win by any memes necessary, the stakes are just too damn high!

Judging by this thread and the number of people with no interest in trading that have joined or posted to it, a Betfair market on what year Trump gets a prison sentence (or not) between now and 2028 could keep the thread going and turnover a few billion for Betfair. :)

I imagine if it ever looks likely that he will stand trial for something or even potentially go to prison that there will be a home for him in Russia.

It's amazing to think that Trump is the leader of the free world and the biggest democracy, but it's sort of predictable. I'm amazed he was elected in the first place TBH.

I don't think that audio would have been released if Trump hadn't lied publically about it. He is just comes across as a complete mad man. I agree with others that his career so far has just reinforced his belief that he can do anything, even when president. It's truly amazing.

Listening to it again this morning I don't think there's clear evidence of criminality in the call, there's a lot of huff and puff and a veiled threat of criminal proceedings against the secretary of state but no smoking gun.

If the Dems try to make anything of this it will just be argued back and forth and it will give Republican voters more reason to hate them.

Trump only has 16 days left in office so the Dems should just sit back and enjoy watching him make a fool of himself and go full manbaby as the days tick down.

In the months ahead this call will probably be the very least of Trump's worries.
