Coincidentally, someone asked similar questions on the BF forum. Probably prompted by the same race, the 5.10 at Dundalk. Someone said they were once told that BF have reps on track at UK (but not all Ire) tracks. But whether they have early notice or just sit ready for the announcement to come through, no one seems to know.

Not a sweep I agree but a definite movement towards the eventual result a few seconds before the market is suspended, maybe that's because the suspend guy is in the crowd and performs the suspend when he hears the announcement compared to lots of others in the same crowd with their fingers poised over the place bet button for the same announcement.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 10:37 amI've been trading UK horse racing full-time for several months and only twice has there been a sweep of the market before suspension in a photo finish. So it does happen, but it's very rare. Which is what led me to ask the question. I've yet to see a sweep of the market ever just before suspension in a stewards.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 5:49 amI don't know but whatever they do it's delayed ... the prices always confirm the winner a few seconds before the market is suspended.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 5:37 pmDoes anyone know how Betfair manage horse racing markets when there is a photo finish or Steward's?
I notice they often suspend these markets a good few seconds before the announcement is heard on Betfair Live. Do they have a rep at the track, or perhaps some other way of knowing a result is shortly expected?
I think Trusty Scout may run well tonight

Something to keep an eye on. The Tory's appear to have really got it in for gambling and horse racing, I suppose they see all this money and want a bigger piece of the pie. I don't think they realise the way there carrying on they'll be no pie left.

Looks like Bet365 settled as void as a gesture of goodwill.
Lot's of people have. But I suspect they look at the winner and liabilities and then make a commercial decision on it. It's a bit of marketing.sionascaig wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2023 2:23 pmLooks like Bet365 settled as void as a gesture of goodwill.

Two big horses underperforming today or not performing in ones case.
Seen a few bits online already Paul Nicholls getting the blame (and a bit of abuse from idiots as well) over Bravemansgame but anyone with a little bit about them and took 2 mins to look will have seen Darryl Jacob was on board and not Harry Cobden who they sent to Ascot and has gone and banged a treble in
