Too busy hounding BJ like a dog with a bone. To me, this whole BJ thing is getting out of proportion. Just get rid of him or get on with business. As Major said "Put up or shut up". Aaaarrrgghhh! Just quoted a Tory to support my view. All is lostTrader Pat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 10:24 pmLittle wonder that animal cruelty is so rife when the police can be gift wrapped a video like that and decide to do nothing about it, great message to send. I haven't seen the video either and i wouldn't want to see it but according to what I've read he booted the poor animal out of his hands like a goalkeeper launching a long ball up field.
Not surprising really. Look how quiet they've been about Mason Greenwood (soon to be Mason Wormwood-Scrubs). I understand there's an investigation ongoing but when that broke they barely mentioned it.

I obviously don't know as much about British politics as you guys but if he's lasted this long he'll probably be OK. If he does end up having to resign maybe he could return to Have I Got News For You?
While I'm at it how does Ian HIslop end up grilling politicians on some kind of committee? How does that work?!
Re: Hislop. One of my bosses acquainted me with the phrase "like being mauled by a dead sheep". ie it is intended to achieve sod all.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 10:54 pmI obviously don't know as much about British politics as you guys but if he's lasted this long he'll probably be OK. I think he was annoyed that the cat made a mess and his brother thought it was funny, didn't realise the anger it would cause. The RSPCA will only investigate if someone complains.greenmark wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 10:06 pmHaven't been able to bring myself to find the offending video. It's quite a baffling news story from several aspects.
Why would you do that?
Why would a mult-millionaire having earned such a privileged position do that?
Why would your brother stitch you up by leaking (by accident or design) such a damaging video?
I'm actually not a cat person, but that behaviour is staggering and it seems to have been accepted as a bit naughty.
It's bloody awful, why aren't the media screaming about it?
While I was doing the washing-up, I had to put up with an 8-minute advert. Then a 3-minute song from my playlist was discharged followed by more lengthy adverts! I guess they want people to sit in front of their computers and watch the videos and ads rather than doing tasks around the house, but like Spotify, if they can't even provide a usable free service I' wouldn't pay a tenner a month for the full service.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 12:05 pmAnd now when you hover over a recommended vid it starts previewing and it gets added to your history. You can disable the preview but there's no way to enable previews and not have them added to the history.
YouTube play lists have always been rubbish, you can't even share them without the sharee (?) being given the rights to change them.
Worst thing though is adverts between every video and even during any mix/remix that lasts more than about 7 mins!
At least the adverts are no longer about get rich quick trading schemes, I've deleted my Gmail account and opened a fresh one. Now I'm getting adverts about how eating a teaspoonful of shit can reduce your metabolism by 750% or a few drops of magic liquid on my pizza tonight will reduce the calories by 90%.

Ebay rant and warning!
I've been an occasional seller on Ebay for over 20 years and have 100% feedback.
Last week I made the mistake of selling something for the first time since they separated from Paypal last year. As soon as the Buyer paid for my item, Ebay froze the funds and have told me I will not get paid unless I sign up to their Direct Debit mandate. As this mandate allows Ebay to take money directly from my bank account at their whim, I have refused and they told me I will have to go to small claims court to get my money. They won't even let me initiate a refund to the buyer unless I sign their damn Direct Debit.
I certainly will never be selling on Ebay again. I hope this saves someone else from going through the same thing.

They should only take money from your bank if a buyer wins a refund case or you have a listing fee (most should be free now anyway), or you sign up for some promotion fee or shop account. It's not really any different to the old way with Paypal except that the fee is subtracted from the gross payment rather than them collecting the fees from you at the end of the month. The payment isn't instant but is usually paid into your bank within 24 hours except weekends and bank holidays.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 2:23 amEbay rant and warning!

I sell almost daily and have never had any problems with the change but I don't like how the turnover is constantly going through my bank. Whilst some of their policies are frustrating, there isn't really any decent alternative so it's easier just to live with it IMO
