I only shout at the people who created the guidelines and don't follow them, or people (Rita Ora for example) who act irresponsibly - not because they broke the guidelines.

You could say my own guidelines are even stricter than the official guidelines! My sister invited me down to London for Christmas and at the time London wasn't in tier 4 but I decided it wasn't sensible and unnecessary. As I alluded to earlier, there's less wrong with 7 people who don't often see each other getting together than there is with 5 people who are neighbours and don't really have a necessity to get together.
Agreed, how often is it a necessity to meet? Hardly ever. But the mental attitude of many is clearly displayed in their motivation to have a last party night before the lockdown that starts the next day ... they just don't seem to get it.
Dont think its that people just don't get it, it seems more likely to me that they just don't care & especially people who are 30 and below, not all of them but a lot of them. The younger you go, the less care there will be... who gives a flying fu*k about something they're very unlikely to die from? They care more about getting laid and doing what youthful people have done forever... having fun & honestly I dont judge them, who am I, I had it all.

981 covid deaths in one day. What an awful statistic. Sure enough we are close to the peak of winter and som of those 981 would have succumbed anyway. But I stilll am angry about the general level of behaviour. Ignore the idiots having 60 people in one flat. It's about the behaviour of 60 million. We are so close to a solution to this situation. Why do people not get it, or if they get it, why do they not go with the guidelines?
If the virus was a cognisant entity it would be rolling on the floor giggling at our thickness.

I have to admit my new girlfriend doesn't seem to care much about covid, she still goes out to see her friends. But what can I do? My mind is on other things and I don't want to appear bossy. :)

Anyone who has done their research ought to know that the current approach is causing more harm than good.
That's complete bollocks! Anyone who's done their research will come up with varying opinions about the best approach - it's just some people's opinions including yours, you don't know for a fact that it's right!
My opinion based on:

40+ historical and new scientific papers on restrictions have zero correlation with deaths and causing more harm than good
Refusal to discuss these papers by mainstream media/government + zero evidence to back up their claims that "lockdowns and masks save lives"
Sweden and many other countries showing zero excess deaths after minimal restrictions throughout 2020
Logic of UK never having true lockdown with trillions of social interactions still taking place throughout 2020

Have you read all 40 reports?

If not you're opinion may be based on one report. I could easily find 40 contra reports if I had a day to waste. It's still opinion and not fact.

What is the sense in leaving that one little area in the middle of England in Tier 3?

Sort of reminds me of a reverse Berlin during the cold war

Think I heard last week that 42 people under 40 in the UK have died from covid. Get everyone who is over 70 jabbed and then let's crack on.

Great plan but way too logical. First we will have to make a rait pigs ear of everything.

When you look at hospital admissions around 85% are those aged 75 and over, once they are vaccinated things should really begin to change

Admissions by age Jul to Dec 2020.png

and the number of people over 75 is only around 5.5million so things could move quite fast IF they get anywhere near the 2million per week target

You would think by end of March we should start getting back to normal, whether that happens or not...

Just because the young uns aren't dying doesn't mean they're not suffering long term effects, I'll leave you to crack on and help get that herd immunity for me so I can finally leave my bunker.

Deja vu from recent news articles for anyone that paid attention all the previous years (doubt anyone did)
