A shame it never escalated fully yesterday to give Ukraine an edge but highlights how weak Russia are allowing 25,000 mercenary's to drive straight into it's land and take military buildings unapposed.

Putin is scared of Prickozhin, he offered him a deal, no prosecution plus $ millions to go away. The Wagner Group have over 100,00 men/women fighting in Africa and South America in various projects. They all highly trained and well paid. Putin didn’t really have a choice as he wasn’t 100% sure the Russian military were going to protect him. His special forces would have but they only number 6,000 or so, it would have been utter bloodshed.

Putin still looks totally humiliated by all this, I suspect the FSB will be asking him to stand down or he might go flying out of a hospital window.

The good news is that Ukraine managed to push across a major river. If they can hold that then they should be able to turn left and encircle thousands of Russian soldiers who will be faced with just two options. You can’t fight for very long without bullets, fuel, medical supplies and food.

As long as he can pay his fighters will have some leverage... Given all the sanctions presumably v reliant on Russia for that, so maybe not in all that secure a position.

So, the Wagner convey yesterday was travelling on the M4 in Russia.

Any military person would tell you that they were sitting ducks to fighter jets and attack helicopters from a distance of over 2,000 metres.

1. No fighter jets were used by Russia
2. 3 attack helicopters were sent but all shot down by Wagner Group, killing 12 Russians.

Question(s): Why didn't they use fighter jets and helicopters to launch missiles from afar, why try and get so close.

I am convinced that Russian pilots and technology is sh!te.

Maybe I am biassed but strongly believe that if NATO had to goto war with Russia then it would all be over within 24 hours or so. I bet the Russian nuclear missiles are all cardboard fireworks. If you watch some of those military parades in Russia over the decades, many of them dont look real and the transport tyres seem to bounch up and down, which strongly suggest they not carrying the weight they should be if the missiles/rockets were actually real etc.

I think this adds weight to why Putin basically sh!te himself yesterday and got on a plane. Russia's military might is all smoke, mirrors and BS. We saw back in February 2022 that Russian soldiers were issued trauma kits dated 1979 and about 20 years past they usuage date even being optimistic.

And the other thing is why is Russia relying so much on the Wagner Group and Chechens in Ukraine, none of it makes any military sense ?

Putin's off the toilet to give a speech. He appears to have gone back on his amnesty and wants the bring the rebellion to justice.

"Those responsible will be brought to justice" Putin rarely mentions anyone by name. Presumably so when people turn up dead he cant be blamed!
