Things feel like they're running pretty smoothly now, for the time being.

I managed to do alright in the end on the big race. Wasn't comfortable in the run up but did OK when it mattered.

£3.2m traded at post time. Will check prior years in a moment.

I've never traded anything like that. Incredibly safe and boring mostly down to only being able to use 200 quid stakes and waiting...and waiting..

I got up to trade it and I wish I had not bothered. The market was full of money and the prices did not move. I had to sit for over 15 minutes to get my bet matched on the favorite. The only way I can see people make money on that is to have stuck up thousands a long time before the start. There was almost no movement at all. Back to bed and note in the diary not to get up next year.

I started trading the favorite and realized it was going to take too long to get matched. stuck to trading other horses that weren't volatile with 200 quid stakes. Still took long enough to get matched though.

No point in trading the favourite when it's being manipulated like that. Just avoid it and trade others, plenty of liquidity around, but I didn't bother to try and get match on the fav.
